Come one, come all and take the pledge, the PINBALL PLEDGE! OHL fans from all over are coming together and making pledges to donate money to Wellspring Cancer Support Centre based on performances by certain OHL players.

Background:

The idea for the pledges started out as a friendly bet between A Round For A Cure founder, Rob Matic and Guelph Storm fan Brian Barton. Both Rob and Brian had different opinions on whether Adam Perry of the London Knights would obtain 25 goals during the 2005-06 season. The idea has grown tremendously and has resulted in people making their own unique pledges based on their favourite teams or players. The Pinball Pledge is currently the largest source of donations, next to tournament entry fees.

Examples:

Currently, many people are pledging a dollar for every goal Adam Perry scores this season, but beyond that, the pledge idea has gone to many different lengths. For example, people are pledging based on how many wins the Sarnia Sting will obtain this year or a specific players' plus-minus. Basically, anything you can come up with can be used as a Pinball Pledge.

Proceeds:

All Proceeds from the Pinball Pledge will go to directly to Wellspring Cancer Support Centre. Just to give you some information, Wellspring Cancer Support Centre provides programs and information services at no cost to cancer patients and their families. No one is financially benefitting from this tournament, as every penny goes to Wellspring.
