Thank you to everyone who participated in the 3rd Annual A Round For A Cure Golf Tournament. We certainly could not have done it without you.

The grand total from this year's event is $13.660! Which brings our three year total to $26,155 which goes directly to Wellspring Cancer Support Centre - London & Region. To put the numbers into perspective; $480.00 pays for one 8 week support group session, 10 people attend each session, which means that we have provided care for 544 members at Wellspring.

Photos from this year's even can be found at the following locations:

Due to time constraints many people were not thanked for their involvement with the tournament. We would like the thank the following people for their support:

Paul Haggerty: Paul is the Associate for Shoppers Drug Mart in Strathroy and is also my employer. Paul has been very supportive of me hosting this event and I can truly say without his support we wouldn't be nearly as successful as we are.

Mandi Fields from Wellspring: Due to prior commitments Mandi could not participate this year but that didn't stop her from staying involved. Mandi provided me with many words of inspiration through the planning stages and when things looked down she picked me right up.

Corey Perry: Nice job winning the Stanley Cup! And for the second straight year Corey has donated $5000 to Wellspring.

Neiff from Nevada Bob's in London: Neiff was the first person I approached about donating to ARFAC. Nevada Bob's provided everyone with golf balls and tee's for the day.

Adam Stanko & Tara Gillis from Applebee's Restaurants: On the advice of my wife Lori I approached Adam about sponsoring our closest to the pin & longest drive contests. Adam put me in contact with Tara in Applebee's head office. Tara was very happy that we chose Applebee's to be a sponsor and we were equally as happy to have them join our team. We held all of our ARFAC meetings there and their staff was awesome! (And the food is too! .. btw Applebee's has a new Menus starting Monday, June 11th!).

Karin Hanwell, Director of Community relations A-Channel London: Karin provided us with free access to the "A-Files" community calendar ($1000 value).

Rob Moreland, Mike Parish & Mike Ruff from Pepsi: These guys came through with a great donation of beverages for the day and were very supportive of us from the minute they heard about the tournament. We were very proud and excited to have Pepsi join our list of sponsors this year. It was great to have the guys come out and golf as well!

John & Connie Vinen of London Mechanical services and Custom Cuisine Catering: John and Connie generously donated the suite at the John Labbatt Centre for a London Knights hockey game next season. the winning bid was for $1000 by Warren Black.

Gord & Chris from Eternal Wealth: We received a last minute donation of the use of a cottage in Grand Bend for a weekend from the guys at Eternal Wealth. We look forward to working more closely with Eternal Wealth in 2008!

The donators of our silent auction and draw prizes: Dave McKellar, Trevor Jones, Jason Hodgson, Todd Farber, John MacIsaac, Matt Gallien and the numerous others who brought us prizes for the prize table!

Jenny Cabral & Teresa Eagleson from Shoppers Drug Mart in Strathroy: In her spare time Jenny put together the fantastic goody bags you all received at the tournament and Teresa made most of the gift baskets for our prize table. Fantastic job Girls!

Special guests current and former OHL'ers :Danny Syvret, Corey Syvret, Brandon Prust, Kelly Thomson, Rob Drummond, AJ Perry, Kris Belan & Bryan Rodney.

Last but surly not least the ARFAC volunteers. I have already thanked them (many times)and I'm not going to go into the details of everything they all did, but lets' just say every single one of them played a key part in the planning, organization & execution of this event: Lori Matic, Rebecca Matic, Jewel Nangreaves, Craig Howlett, Scott King & Matt Gallien.

Thanks again everyone and we hope to see you again in 2008!
